What is Counselling?

Counselling is a form of talk therapy where you engage with a trained professional in a safe, non-judgmental environment to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. A counsellor offers a caring and sensitive ear, providing a confidential space for you to express yourself openly, no matter how difficult or upsetting your experiences or emotions may be. Counselling is an opportunity to reach deeper levels of self-awareness. Once you begin to understand and accept yourself more fully, you will be able to more successfully step into change.

Compassionate Support for Healing and Growth

I view each person as being on a unique journey toward personal fulfilment. My role is to support you on that path using evidence-based therapeutic frameworks tailored specifically to you.  Some ways I might do this are by helping you to identify, explore and understand certain emotions and feelings that may be troubling you, that you are having difficulty getting in touch with and that may be getting in the way of living a full life. We will look at where they might come from with compassion and care moving towards understanding and healing. By listening, really listening to you, I will help you to make sense of your story and yourself leading to a greater sense of wholeness.
