The Humanistic Counselling and Coaching Approach

Each therapist has their own style and unique way of working. I appreciate that you may not particularly care for the technicalities and probably just want to know if I can help. I hope the rest of this website has reassured you that I can indeed help. If you are interested however, please read on for some more information.

The humanistic approach means we will look at everything that makes you who you are – an individual with a unique history, set of experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We will look at how you connect with yourself, others and the world around you with a view to fully validating your experience. I will support you on your journey towards self awareness and fulfilling your potential.

The Integrative Approach

Integrative means I draw on various approaches to meet your individual needs. These may include:

Psychodynamic

Here, the focus is looking at how your past experiences and conditioning influence your present thoughts, feeling and behaviours.

This exploration can lead to greater awareness and a deeper understanding of self.

Neuroscience

By having insight into how the brain and nervous system function, we can shed light on how you might experience life and more successfully incorporate change.

Somatic Work

Working somatically means tuning in to how we hold our experiences and history in the body.

Person-Centred

The person-centred approach relies on the therapist providing the conditions of empathy and nonjudgement to help you grow towards connecting with your true self and full potential.

Relational

I work relationally which means the trust and connection we build in our therapy space is key to your healing and growth.

If you would like to work together please get in touch either by phone, text or email. I aim to respond within 48hrs. We can then arrange a free call for you to let me know a bit about what's going on for you and for you to ask me any questions you might have. If it feels right, we will book a discovery session where we will do an assessment together to see how we can tailor our therapy sessions to your needs.
