The Humanistic Counselling and Coaching Approach
Each therapist has their own style and unique way of working. I appreciate that you may not particularly care for the technicalities and probably just want to know if I can help. The humanistic approach means we will look at everything that makes you who you are – an individual with a unique history, set of experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We will look at how you connect with yourself, others and the world around you with a view to fully validating your experience. Working at a pace that suits you, we will explore your present and past, seeking to understand and challenge any limiting beliefs, triggers and unhelpful patterns of behaviour you maybe unconsciously holding onto and that are getting in the way. Looking to the future, I will actively support you in setting realistic, achievable goals. We will then work collaboratively using my insight and knowledge to tap into your inner resources and strengths to help you reach your full potential and operate from a place of self-compassion and empowerment.
