What is Counselling?

Counselling is a type of talk therapy which involves talking to a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a safe and non-judgmental environment. A counsellor will listen with care and sensitivity to your concerns, providing a confidential space where you can express yourself freely and openly, regardless of how distressing or upsetting your experiences or feelings may be.
